This town is fucking boring and I'm sick of everything
I was so excited for summer but lately I've been ingesting
Large amounts of ice cream and bowls of mike and Ike's and jelly beans
And chips and other junk food
Based on no good reasoning
And I'm only happy when I'm with my girlfriend or my records or my
Group of knuckleheads that never fail to make me feel better
Or the city with two seasons though its always fucking windy
But I feel alive at concerts cause they make feel less shitty
And I'm gonna quit my day job soon and things will turn up then
Well one can only hope and hope rarely makes a difference
I miss the friends I used to have and the bands I used to front
But I'm glad I get to spend most of my time deeply in love
And though I often hate the places where I live and breathe
I wish that I could never grow up
Cause death scares the hell out of me
And one day I hope someone outside this state will hear my songs
And cop them off the Internet and they'll pay what they want
Cause the money isn't as important as the distribution
But my voice and fingers on these strings aren't serving as a solution
I'm impatient and I know it
And I'm gonna fucking show it
But one day I'll be discovered
By someone who's not another
Member of this small town community
Maybe someone who owns a label
And then I'll put out records
And I'll finally be able
To be content
