Love Like Me
06:59

I can still hear you say goodbye
I can see you leaving out the corner of my eye
I can feel the emptiness inside
I know I haven't got much time
Rusted hearts out in the rain
Everyone just stops the same
I can't live another day
I hope you remember this face in the end
Cause you'll never find a love like me again
You treated me like utter dirt
And told me that it wouldn't hurt
I have been going berserk
Having no one to refer to
I am sick of solitude
I am tired of this mood
I hope things are well for you
Cause they can't ever be for good men
But you'll never find a love like me again
When you close your eyes
Do you still see me?
When you want to die
I hope I don't show up in your eulogy
Just keep this in mind
I was your world
And you were mine
Now nothing turns or bends
Cause you'll never find a love like me again

Annie are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie are you okay?
Annie sits alone in her room, depressed and listening to
All of her mother’s records
Father was neglectful as usual, she couldn’t go through with it
She made some bad decisions
Lost just every friend that she had, her soul was going to black
Out if she didn’t take control
And then she let her hair go, and took some pills down her throat
Now I hear people saying
Annie are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
I wish I cared but not after the way you treated me
Annie gets with all the guys, manipulation and lies
She’s got a terrible tendency to latch
Onto whoever will cast attention to her at last she finds
Some sort of comfort
Maybe now that high school is done, she can maybe change some
Of the things I still hold her for
Or maybe she’ll never be and act any differently
Who is this ballad really for?
Annie are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
I’d wish you the best but all I could come up with is mediocrity
Annie are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
Annie are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?
So long for now I hope someday you find out what “righteousness” means

Fallen Saints

Fallen saints with broken bones
And nothing to lay their heads on
Lost the key to Heaven’s gate
And tried learn how to create
They thought they knew from what they read
But what was trailing through their heads
Was nothing but a wise man’s tale
Grown so old, rotten stale
They tried to refute the dirt ‘neath their boots
Get used to the groundwork and not convolute
The visions that they had once had that had now been untrue
Fallen saints with hard surprise
Leaking out of their old eyes
Thought the Earth to be a charm
Wrapped ‘round the finger of he who won’t harm
There’s history in oceans blue
That they were all unprivy to
And stories that the buildings have
That surround the trees where supposedly man
Once roamed dumb and bare and bereft of a care
Never knowing the future that would soon be there
And the millions of others who sleep and think all is unfair
Fallen saints with warped ideals
Look upon the streets and fields
And curse the name who said he owned
Everything there and now gives no hope
A tragedy for every day
They wanted to just stay away
From what they knew as magic land
And snap off the fingers from the wretched right hand
They woke up in shock thought the gates were still locked
And still sincerely thought that the man was all talk
But decided it just turns out better to believe what you want

Guided By Sage

Sage is a girl and she is walking the world and she just truly has no idea
How gorgeous she is she puts my heart in a tailspin and all I want to do is see her
Whenever I can if she'd let me be her man I would give up all of my possessions
To be able to kiss her get a taste of her lips and hope she's okay with this procession
Sage she dances back and forth as her red hair twists and distorts she lets down just a small part of her jacket dancing back and forth
And more and more and more and more I think I'm what she's looking for but will she even realize the way I look into her eyes
Sage is a girl and she is walking the world and she just truly had no idea

The Folk Singer
03:07
|
|
||
Well I am nothing but a folk singer
And I sing about what really hurts
And I try to make something that you will like
So I pen down music verse for verse
In hoping that I will coerce
The people to accept my withered mind
Cause something that I put out could be well-received
And I could get rewarded for the songs I sing
But I am only on this Earth to do one thing
To sing for you that’s what I do
Well I am nothing but unstable flesh
And slowly rotting conscience
Though some could say I act over the top
And sometimes I seem ridiculous
Though my craft is meticulous
So much so I don’t think I’d ever stop
Cause I’ve got nothing more to do than write these songs
And pray to someone out there that I can go on
With doing what I love and hope that it’s not wrong
To sing for you that’s what I do
I may not be the best but I hope I’m not the worst
And I won’t be the last but I know I’m not the first
And if a sliver of anything I put out grabs attention
Of the feeblest of minds I at least hope that they can mention
That I was not an awful human being
Well I am nothing but some skin on bones
Indebted to The Rolling Stones
And hits of yesteryear that made my style
But would a blind eye bat inside a bar
To one more jangly guitar
A ghost in the musician rank and file
And though I never worried much about success
I only need a little bit of acceptance
To keep me going and not be motivation-less
To sing for you, that’s what I do

Crystal Cruisin'

Drove home a few hours ago with a lot on my mind
For once some positive remembrances of time
But I returned to window shopping online
Not only items but a girl I could find
Obeying speeding limitations were bust
Down Oakwood Manor with the rockers and punks
And though I didn’t get to utilize lust
I found a home away from home
In the dusty streets
Where they call my name
Said “It’s nice too meet you,
Traveler all the same
We don’t care where you’re from
We don’t care what you do
We just wanna relax
And hang out with you.”
Sweet scents of thunderstorms don’t smell quite the same
When you’ve got no one here to embrace the rain
The parties suddenly became less strange
When you’ve got people that will hear what you say
Everybody’s got a vice that they have
It doesn’t irritate me nearly as bad
As over here and I just wanna go back
And be content with everything
In the dusty streets
Where they call my name
Said “It’s nice too meet you,
Traveler all the same
We don’t care where you’re from
We don’t care what you do
We just wanna relax
And hang out with you.”
Nothing matters at all
When you’re hours from home
But you feel like you’re far
From the place that you’ve known
Better than where you live
Where you used to have friends
And I wish I could go
Right now back there again
Why did it have to end?
